1927 (April) Pictorial set of 4 to 10/- (type 5/6 opts) and perforated 4d triangle English and Afrikaans (type 7/8 opts), Handstamp Specimen (type SA 5), for UPU distribution in intact blocks of 6 (2 x 3) or strips of 3 (4d), as sent from Bern affixed to two ledger pieces from the Madagascar archive and tied by part to complete strikes of the red circular POSTES ET TELEGRAPHES/COLLECTION DE BERNE/MADAGASCAR receiving handstamp. A Unique and stunning array with lovely fresh colours the larger piece retaining LE DIRECTEUR/des Postes et Telegraphes handstamp with signed affidavit. Rare.
