1898 (Sep 19) British Bechuanaland postcard sent from England to Mafeking, franked on the reverse with 1881 1d lilac die II tied by Westgate-on-Sea « G48 » duplex (stationery die also cancelled by the duplex), with Cape Town 11 OCT transit and Mafeking OC 13 squared circle arrival, endorsed « No such street known », returned to the sender’s address with Mafeking OC 19 cds and Cape Returned Letter Office cds, « Undelivered for reason stated » handstamp on arrival in London, peripheral creasing, an unusual usage and scarce incoming mail to Mafeking/Bechuanaland.
