Gupta Empire, Prakasaditya, c. 490-515, AV dinar, 9.29 g. (19 mm). Obverse: ‘horseman lion slayer’ type, king mounted on horse to right carrying a bow across his shoulder, running a thin sword into the open mouth of a prancing lion, Brahmi letter ru under horse. Reverse: Lakshmi seated facing on lotus, holding diadem and long-stemmed lotus left, tamgha to left, illegible Brahmi legend to right (which has been read on other coins as sriprakasaditya).
