Gupta Empire, Chandragupta II, c. 380-413, AV dinar, 7.76 g. (20 mm). Obverse: ‘horseman’ type; king riding horse left, circular Brahmi legend around. Reverse: Lakshmi seated left on stool, holding diadem and long-stemmed lotus, Brahmi legend at right, Ajitavikrama, tamgha left, dotted border around. Kumar TOTGE 2024, Class I, variety A.
VF-EF, an unusually well-struck and well-centered coin that leaves most of the Brahmi legend on the obverse legible.
