1841 Post Office notice sent by E.S. Lees introducing the new 1d. and 2d. stamps plus two sizes of the Penny Pink envelope overprinted « specimen ». The 1d. red-brown lettered JH and the 2d. (from the small trial plate). Clean and very rare so fine (S.G. £7’000).
