1861 Woodblock 1d carmine on laid paper, neatly used with bars cancel, margins touched or just clear, free from faults, a most presentable example of a distinctly brighter shade, identified by Holcombe (1990) as carmine-vermilion, also cert. Sismondo (1999) (S.G. £4’000). Catalogue ref: S.G. 13a
