1861-97 comprehensive collection of the early issues neatly written up and presented on pages in an album, with, we note, most items used and a substantial number additionally mint. Some of the mint are unused but mostly of fine appearance, well above average for these difficult issues, many of which have very low print figures. Some highlights include: 1861 6d x 2 used and in pair, 1862 6d mint strip of 4 and 1d (SG 5) in block of 4 and marginal strip of 4 mint, 4d mint and used, 6d mint (2). 1s SG 9 x 2 mint (one with cert, regummed) and used, 1s SG 11 x 2 mint and used, 1869 4d x 2 mint, 1s mint (cert. BPA) and used, 1871 6d mint with 3 used and 1s SG 17 x 3 used, 1872 1s SG 20 used (scarce), 1875 1s SG 21 mint with 3 used, SG 24 x 3 used, 4d SG 25 mint and 2 used, with 2 examples of 1880 bisect used, one with BPA. Also 1880 6d mint (2) plus 1s, 1881 unsevered pair mint, 1881 4d bright blue perf. 11 to 12 1/2 mint part o.g. (S.G. £1’200), 1d on 6d x 2 mint plus used, 4d on 1s (just traces of postmark), 1883 6d and 1s x 2 of each mint, 1885 4d mint (SG £950) and 6d x 4 mint plus used, 1892 5d on 4d block of 4 mint.
