1809 (January 14th) Folded entire from Coruna, Spain during the Peninsular War, sent by military messenger and posted from London to Armagh, with a manuscript endorsement « Redirected at » in red ink with « ARMAGH » mileage mkg alongside, and having two strikes of the fancy framed Dublin « FREE » Mermaid in red, rated « 1/7 » but subsequently deleted on arrival in Dublin, colourful, attractive and rare.
