1820 (November 24th) Folded entire from Army Tailors in London to Major Maclaine Commanding the 57th Regiment, sent c/o Army Agents in Dublin and readdressed to Galway, showing a clear three-line orange unframed datestamp « 24 NO 24 / POSTAGE TO DUBLIN NOT-PAID », rated « 1/3 » (London to Dublin composite 1/3 + Dublin to Galway 133 miles 10d =2/1) and rerated « 2/1 » single, an extremely rare example of the Unpaid mkg especially in this quality (DF No. 211). One of only five examples recorded for the 1820 handstamp.
