1808 (January) Folded entire per « ship Amman Liverpool » and showing the usage of a town name straight line « WEXFORD » in red, with a manuscript « Ship Letter », and put ashore at Wexford, probably due to bad weather, before proceeding Liverpool, an important ship letter, showpiece. This is one of only three recorded usages of the Wexford Ship letter.Rate: The cover is rated « 7 » (1d ship rate + 6d), and rerated 1/8 (7d + 1/1d combined) from the 3rd rate period.
