1874 (Sep 6) envelope sent registered from San Fernando to St. Kitts with 1863-80 perf.12 1/2 1s emerald green pair tied by two strikes of « REGISTERED » hs and « 2 » cds, further strikes of both adjacent with « PAID » despatch, ms « Five Dollars » and initialled, reverse with pencil « Money all right. The note was too carefully enclosed with the letter to be taken out » and then sealed with five wax seals with the San Fernando post office seal, very fine and rare registered mail especially with stamps cancelled by the hs; ex T. V. Roberts and Sir John Marriott.
