1855 (Jun 7) ladies’ envelope to Corsica with 1852-60 Second Issue lithographed (1d) greenish blue on thinner paper, fine to very large margins, cancelled by indistinct numeral and tied by French transit, with « COLONIES / & c ART. 13. » hs adjacent, reverse with despatch, London transit and Isle Rousse arrival, minor cover toning, tiny surface scuff on stamp in top right corner with touch-up, a fine cover with this scarce stamp; cert. RPS (1980) and Alcuri (1987) (S.G. £1’200 as used single).
