1859 Dardenne 2d slate-blue, good margin at top and huge on three sides, clearly showing the « feather » retouch below « TWO », neat « PAID » cancel well clear of the variety, a stunning example; cert. BPA (2018); ex Dale-Lichtenstein and Kanai (S.G. £1’200 on the more common pale blue shade, with the variety not listed in this shade which catalogues £1’400 as a normal stamp).
