1897-1902, pair of envelopes sent without stamps when supplies ran short, one 1897 (Sep 1) from Newmarket to Kingston with boxed « JAMAICA PAID » and ms « Paid » in crayon; and other 1902 (Oct 30) with « PAID / JAMAICA » and Kingston cds, initialled at top left, addressed for collection at a PO Box in Kingston so it may have been normal procedure.
