1854 (Dec 23)/1856 (May 17) Two appealing letters from Jaulnah to Achmednaggar franked by very fine copies of the ½a (S.G. 6, die II, and S.G. 8, die III, pale blue) beautifully tied by mute Jaulnah 9-grid cancellation and diamond-grid 65. Stamps are affixed to the reverse which also shows boxed dated “JAULNAH/Paid” dispatch postmarks in red, address side shows addresses in English and Tamil/Hindi. The letter from 1856 is also showing Achmednaggar oval receiver of May 14. An interesting pair.
