Lot 20530 – 1901 The only registered mail of the « Fieramosca » in China, also exhibiting the extremely rare usage of its cds

1901 (June 17) Large registered cover to Rome, sent free of charge as addressed to the Ministry of the Navy, on the date of dispatch the ship calling at Shanghai, bearing « Ra. Nave Fieramosca » cds and registration marking at left, both in blue, arrival square cds also on obverse. The Admiral Candiani, commanding the Italian naval forces in China, was embarked on the « Fieramosca ». The only registered mail of the « Fieramosca » in China (no examples recorded in the Landini collection).
