1849 (Apr 10) Wrapper (slightly truncated at right) from Turks Island to London via the Bahamas, rated « 1/4 » (1s for the postal charge and 4d for the additional ship letter fee), showing a fine strike of « Bahamas / ship letter » handstamp (Type S1), London arrival (22.7.1849) on the reverse, believed to be the earliest example, fine and scarce.
