1841 (Apr 5) 1d Mulready envelope (forme 3, stereo A161) from Limerick to Newcastle, neatly cancelled by a fine strike of the distinctive Limerick Maltese Cross in black, the reverse showing an arrival cds for the following day with an unusual error where the « N » of Newcastle is reversed, very rare with only one other Mulready recorded with this cancel by Rockoff and Jackson, cert. RPS (2013).
