English Silver Boxes: 1897 Silver stamp box in the shape of a bowl with three stamp compartments with sprung hinged lids, engraved « July 1898 », made by W. Thornhill & Co. with engraving on base, Birmingham assay marks, some small dents on the base and one lid out of shape so doesn’t lie flush (also has the window fixing loose), still an attractive and scarce stamp box.
