1847, George Washington, 10c black, vertical pair, good to large margins all round with part of adjoining stamp at top, bottom stamp showing vertical line through second « F » of « Office », light strike of red grid cancels, diagonal corner crease at top right of first stamp; an extremely fine example, with vertical pairs being much more elusive than horizontal examples, and in addition the line through « F » variety is very rare, with only eleven copies recorded; cert.
