Lot 30734 – 1878 (Feb 18), Lettersheet sent from Puerto Cabello

1878 (Feb 18) Lettersheet sent from Puerto Cabello to Bordeaux, sent via the French post office in Puerto Cabello (at the time in transition) the French octagonal dated ‘FEB 18’, the double circle Puerto Cabello, a triangular « T » rate mark and the hs « 24 », would have travelled to Puerto Rico and changed ship to sail on the French steamboat number ‘2’ of the line ‘B’ from the port of Veracruz, arriving at St Nazaire and reaching Bordeaux one month later, an interesting cover with a faint horizontal filing crease, otherwise clean and fine, a rare transitional cover; cert.
