1922, Giuseppe Mazzini, 25c brown red, 40c violet brown and 80c blue, three imperforate proofs affixed to card and signed by the artist Alfredo Blasi in Rome on 20.9.1922, the first day of issue, with manuscript text stating these to be the first proofs which were given as a gift by the engraver Blasi, unique; signed A. Diena and A. Bolaffi.
