Malaysian States, Sungei Ujong – 1878-81 overprinted 2c, « C*SU » and « SUNGEI UJONG » overprints, the latter featuring types 11+14: two retouched master negatives on film, and two glass clichés of the earlier overprint, one with notes including date as July 1935 and listed « 184 » by Sperati in his archive.Note: In the Sperati II handbook it is mentioned the existence of these overprints based on an article of the local « Arts et Mémoire » magazine from Aix-les-Bains (the place of residence of Sperati), which author was Lucette Blanc, a friend of Sperati’s daughter, Yvonne. No material was available in Sperati I and Sperati II handbooks, so these items are the only proof that Sperati also attempted to produce these stamps.
