1918 (Nov) Picture U.S. postcard of Cleveland sent to Paris by a member of the French Military Mission in Siberia in transit in the United States during the trip to Vladivostok, bearing very fine « MISSION MILITAIRE FRANÇAISE EN SIBERIE/Service Postal » cachet in violet, with faint strike of French arrival cds at lower left; the French Mission left New York by train on 24.11 to San Francisco (29.11) via Cleveland, Chicago, Omaha and Sacramento; a rare usage in the United States.
