1882 Wmk CA 2 1/2d red-brown mint large part og showing duty plate severely misplaced to right (R1/1) and misperfed, with the first strike of the comb having been placed too high, with the stamp being 26mm high instead of the normal 24.5 mm and partially imperforate at the bottom of the vertical sides, trivial soiling and creasing but a spectacular and most remarkable stamp representing a very rare lapse from grace by De La Rue who prided themselves on the highest standards of production and quality control.
