1904 (Mar 30) 5c Postal stationery card sent to RHODES, DODECANESE ISLANDS, uprated with 1899 5c green tied by Locle cds, sent by a watch maker to a passenger aboard the Iile de France » which was participating in a scientific expedition, however it missed the addressee with « Retour » in ms and « Parti. » label, and returned to Locle with arrival cds adjacent, horiz. crease, fine and very rare destination, thought to be only on of six items recorded to Rhodes at this time
