1878-79 Provisional Printings 1a slate-purple archival colour trial/proof on thin very soft laid paper, thins as always found, rare, see Sefi & Mortimer p.161 Sefi & Mortimer page 161 « one anna occassionally met with printed in dull purple on a thin and very soft laid paper with a slight yellowish tone. These are rare and not known used. They may have been early color trials. » Always with thins.
