Lot 40096 – 60 Lep, dark green on buff, together with 20 Lep, deep

60 Lep, dark green on buff, together with 20 Lep, deep ultramarine on cream paper, 1875-80 issue, on a prepaid double weight registered cover from Thessaloniki (Tourika) Greek P.O. to Zante, both tied by Thessaloniki (Tourkia) c.d.s.. Thessaloniki dispatch c.d.s. (23-8-1878) and boxed « SISTIMENON » (REGISTERED) are alongside, the 20 Lep is slighty cut into at top left, the 60 Lep is in very fine condition, a most beautiful and very rare exhibition item

Note: Covers with 60 Lep in combination with stamps of other issues from Tessaloniki (Tourkia) are exceedingly rare (in Feldman sale of April 1983 it realised 15.100 SFrs +15%)
