1859 Post Paid 1d. red-brown on bluish, a large margined example from position 4, cancelled by target cancel and paying the 1d circular rate on 1.10.1859 printed matter from Port Louis to France, with red Suez entry cds in France below, addressee’s wrapper missing, with manuscript annotation of receipt indicating the sender (the representative in Mauritius of the Comptoir National D’Escompte de la Ville de Paris) and the date of the circular, this also tying the franking, a very rare usage of this rate to a destination overseas
