1855 (Dec 31) Envelope (incl. original contents) sent from Mauritius to India, with crowned GPO despatch ds, ms notation on arrival « Not found / Return to Mauritius », and sent back on 13th Mar with Calcutta boxed ship letter ds on reverse with ms rates, with further crowned GPO despatch on arrival dated nearly a year later. Also incl. a « Returned Letter » cover from the Dead Letter Office in Mauritius (for this same correspondence but not the matching cover) to Ripon Bell & Co., dated July 28 1857 inside, an unusual duo which would make a nice exhibit page
