by De La Rue for display at the 1867 Paris Exhibition, unique in private hands according to « GB Surface Printed Postage Stamps 1855-1883 » by Galland and Louis, a magnificent exhibition piece, ex Stothert
& Latto 1870 2s Die proof. Very fine and fresh example without corner letters or plate numbers printed in brown on white matt card (92 x 60mm). Produced by DLR for display at the 1867 Paris Exhibition. Robert Galland and Karl Louis record this to be unique in private hands, a stunning example of this very rare proof, a magnificent exhibition piece. Ex Stothert & Latto.
