Lot 31246 – 1879-1918, One man’s outstanding lifetime collection

1840-1990s, Extensive accumulation housed in a few hundred Stanley Gibbons 5 double page stock books, as well as dozens of albums/stock books of different shapes and sizes and loose. Considerable duplication across the board, for the most part chronologically organised with particular strength in GB  first issues line engraved black, blues and reds through surface printed QV onto KEVII/ KGV/KGVI/QEII with huge catalogue value in all grades of condition. Worldwide across the board continues with similar representation from the 19th century onwards. There are also sheet stocks mostly post WW2 with a good showing of Middle East. This is a holding that is a fascinating in scope with much that deserves an unhurried viewing to appreciate the depth of material here.
