1908 London collection with better items incl. ppc of Ed Owen (2nd in 5 miles) signed by himself, « Olympic Games 1908 Welcome Festivities » programme card for a banquet on August 1st, handwritten letter from a member of the British Olympic Council thanking the Mayor of Windsor for his contribution to the Games, an invitation to Lord & Lady Michelham’s garden party to meet competitors and officials of the Games, menu for Swedish sportsmen at the Games, 50+ ppc’s of the Stadium and Games with many depicting the famous Dorando Pietri incl. photographic card mailed Aug 1 « This is a view of the Marathon Race, the front man is Longboat and the one with a white cap is Dorando », 3 cards with Franco-British Exhibition cancels used during the Games, 4 B.O.C. vignettes (1 imperf. and a souvenir book of the Exhibition, an interesting group (Est. € 600/800) Vente aux enchères
