1850 Cover front from Kiel to Hamburg, franked 1850 1 Schilling blue & 2 Schilling rose. both with clear to good margins, tied by crisp numeral « 18 » with KIEL/25.11 (1850) first day of usage, front creased and defects at bottom left, still an outstanding usage
Note: The certificate states that the cover front is used during the first rate period, hence the correct rate of 3 skillings was applied for letter upto 1 lot, therefore the cover front represents the earliest known usage of the Holstein First Issue
