Description
1889 Stampless envelope to St Thomas with arrival backstamp, cancelled on obverse with provisional negative « Haiti Postes Cap Haitien » paid handstamp, Cap-Haitien cds alongside. This negative provisional marking was used by the new Haitian government to indicate postage paid. They did not want to use the available stamps depicting the deposed leader. Vente aux enchères
