MAURITIUS: ONE OF ONLY 2 COVERS FROM MAURITIUS WITH GB FRANKING 1862 (Jun 9) Envelope to Ireland with 1855-57 6d lilac right wing marginal tied by clear “B53” numeral, reverse with Mauritius despatch, H&K Pact. and Belturbet arrival cds, obverse with “1 1/2d” Mauritius accountancy hs and Dublin cds, redirected with ms “1”. Only two covers are known with GB stamps paying postage from Mauritius; this and another to France with 6d and two 1d.
