20m Blue tied to PARCEL CARD by Mandate-style TEL NORDAU / TEL AVIV cds, sent to a civilian in Kibbutz Ruhama in the northern Negev, military post n° 10 transit and arrival cds dated August 1-2. The post operated behind enemy lines and was carried by military convoy. The card clearly shows the date 5 July 1948 in the tying cds, which was the first day for civilian parcels to be mailed via the military to Negev destinations.
