Description

A Key Showpiece of the Dardenne Issue

1859 Dardenne 1d red and 2d blue used together on cover to France « via Aden » tied by barred ovals in black, French V. SUEZ entry, charged « 8 » in France, MAURITIUS GPO despatch for FE 7 1860 on reverse, 2d with large margins and clearly showing the « feather » retouch below TWO variety.

This is the finer of the two recorded covers with singles of each value and one of the major Dardenne items
