1d. red-brown on bluish paper, latest impression, two single from positions 5 and 8, each with large to very large margins, and in combination with « Britannia » 6d., each centrally cancelled by « Paid » in circle, on 1860 (Mar 8) entire letter from Port Louis with contents from Mauritius Commercial bank to Calcutta (India), originally endorsed in error « p Overland via Marseilles » (deleted) and « p str to Aden » (with Aden also apparently deleted); filing creases affecting 1d. [8] and 6d. and some slight soiling, a very rare franking with this combination of issues and paying 8 penny rate.
