Description
1858 40 Parale Blue-Green smudged print on Yellowish Paper: Horizontal strip of four with large margins on three sides, barely touched at the right, with a small tear at the left and a couple at the base not touching the stamps. Cancelled by two red oval « FRANCO JASSY » markings on a small piece. A striking example of this rare item, possibly used to pay a registered letter in the 2nd weight step, as very few strips of four exist. Corinphila sale 2001, signed E. Diena, Heimbüchler, cert.
