1865 Letter from Pireas (Jun. 22/Jul. 3, 1865) to Genova (Jun. 28/Jul. 10, 1865) via Messina, franked at 112 lepta for a letter up to 10 grams transported by French boats according to the convention of 1861 between Greece and Italy. Black maritime postmark « PIROSCAFI POSTALI FRANCESI » for « French Postal Boats ». Black postmark “ΠΕΔ” or “ΠΛΙΡΩΜΕΝΟΝ ΕΞΟΤΕΡΙΚΟΝ ΔΗΚΕΩΜΑ” for “Foreign Paid to Destination ». The stamps are from the consecutive Athens printings (1862/1867) and with good to large margins except the 2 lepta with one narrow margin. The 80 lepta has the plate flaw of the « cercle mince ».
