Description

1878-1881 Sperati forgery overprint « SUNGEI UJONG » for the Straits Settlement 2, 4, and 8c issues, a group of six items, including four glass clichés (dated May 1928 and July 1931) with C*SU overprint and « SUNGEI UJONG » in two lines. Also the two overprints in trial prints on paper (one dated 19/10/31). An extremely rare range of materials for the final reproduction of this issue, with no similar material documented in the Sperati I and II handbooks.
