1812 (6.4) Folded letter sheet from Tuam to Hollymount showing TUAM/87 mileage mkg, which should have been rated « 8 » for over 80 miles, however was rated « 4 » because Cross Post reduced the rate by 50%, plus a very early usage of a clear crisp tiny TOO LATE in black, very fine and a rare usage

Note: Crossroads were those on which the post was carried between the main roads, and therefore the letter did not have to travel to Dublin and back to its destination, resulting in a cost reduction
