1840 1d Black pl.8 HB, very close to good margins, tied to small 1841 (Apr 9) lettersheet sent from Leeds to Wakefield (Yorkshire) by the distinctive Leeds Maltese Cross (R&J Leeds special), reverse with despatch and arrival ds, stamp has been lifted and cover cleaned, some edge splitting, fine and attractive franking, illustrated R&J vol.1 p.152-154, cert. RPS (1997).
