Description

1852, Rayon II, Type 12, Stein B-LO zusammen mit Rayon III kleine Wertziffern, Type 6, farbintensiv, Rayon II unten berührt, sonst beide allseits voll- bis breitrandig, auf Nachnahme-Faltbrief von Basel nach Aarau, klar, übergehend und ausnehmend kontrastvoll entwertet mit rotem FRANCO im Kasten von Basel (AW440) und nebengesetzt klarer « BASEL 25 MAI 52 NACH-MITTAG », rückseitig Ankunftsstempel. Eine der allerseltensten Entwertungen der Schweiz, welche im Vergleich viel seltener ist als legendäre Entwertungen wie die Rosette von Pfyn oder die Raute von Bellelay. Der grosse Rayon-Sammler Jack Luder besass nur einen einzigen Brief, welcher an der 256. Corinphila Auktion im September 2020 (Los 8097) verkauft wurde. Ein höchst beeindruckender Stempelbeleg.
