1876 small envelope addressed to Lyon bearing a fine mixed franking consisting of Japan 1874 2s yellow with small central circular cancellation, together with France Ceres 10c (3) and a 80c. cancelled by `5118` large numerals of Yokohama whose cds appear at base, red French maritime cds under 2s, some slight perf. imperfections due to being placed high at the top which is of little consequence for such a spectacular and rare combination. Sen jaune YT n° 15. Oblitérations GC 5118 bien frappées + cachet
circulaire muet Japonais. Nous avons très peu rencontré une telle
combinaison ; de ce fait, malgré l’état assez moyen des timbres, cette
lettre d’exception peut être considéré comme une des plus belles raretés
des Bureaux Français à l’étranger. Lettre répertoriée et illustrée dans
