1827 (March 13) entire from Kensington, London to a William Fraser of the Civil Service in Bengal, care of someone in Calcutta who forwarded to Dehlie, reverse with framed India Ship Lr handstamp and red Calcutta date stamp. A fine and historically important letter where the sender states that the ever increasing military commitments of the French, Spanish and Portuguese at this time within Europe means that they are unable to expand thie influence within India leaving the way open to the British. a long and fascinating letter.
