Lot 80062 – 19381/4a rose (SG2) and 1a rose (SG5) se-tenant strip of three on cover

1938 local cover going to Dhambhola with combination frankings. 1/4a rose (SG2) and 1a rose (SG5) se-tenant strip of three, the centre stamp being the 1a value, known to exist but unpriced in SG and never offered for sale (this error of colour happened when the 1a was accidentally introduced in the 1/4a plate). (SG2 and SG5), 2 x 1/4a rose (SG2) and 4a rose (SG8). Some minor water staining on the other side, fine, an exhibition showpiece and first time being offered in an auction in 60+ years, UNIQUE. The 1a Rose (SG5) is not known to exist unused according to SG catalogue hence, this could be the only existing discovery example. (SG £ 43’000 for the stamps, not for se-tenant pair).
