1947 issues on two covers. A registered cover going to Chatarpura with pair of 2a vermillion (SG89) canceled with circular cancel dated 15 June 48 in Hindi. A second registered native cover paying the 4a rate with mixed franking (4 X 1/2a violet SG87 and 2 X 1a yellow green SG88) showing the hole mark where the acknowledgement slip was tied. The later portrait issues on cover are rare, both fine with some clipped edges (SG £4000+).
