1867 (Jan 7) Unpaid entire from Manchester to Patras via London Jan. 8, Brindisi Jan. 11 and Kerkyra Dec. 31 (Jan. 12), endorsed « Via Brindisi » (Mont Cenis route), taxed on arrival 180 lepta in red pencil for a letter from 15 to 30 grams (double rate) with 80l pair and 20l Large Hermes Heads (mixed margins) according to the conventions between Greece & Italy of 1864 and Greece & France of 1838 & 1845. « 40 » centisimi credit to Italy with « Piroscafi Postali Austriaci » hs (« Austrian Post Steamers ») below the stamps for the sea transit from Kerkyra to Brindisi by an Austrian boat. The « Route du Mont Cenis » is the less common route between Greece and Great Britain.
